Mount Vernon was absolutely beautiful. I have visited several of the places we visited in DC, but this was a new one. I especially enjoyed the view of the Potomac River and seeing several of President Washington's innovative ideas come to life. The one thing that just bothered the heck out of me was this picture - the house is not symmetrical. I couldn't get over it.
Do you know why it's not symmetrical? -shudders- We talked about it in Geometry class. I saw this picture and my nightmares were relived.
