Day 141 - "You're Tall"

It's a trip for me to walk around in the 1st grade room. They make my 5'11" self feel about 2' taller than normal, because everything and everyone is so miniature. One of the little 1st grade girls has this weird habit of turning around and almost running into me, then looking up and saying, 'You're tall,' like this is some great revelation every time she sees me.

Today was the annual 1st and 8th grade field trip to the zoo. When we got to the giraffes, this same little girl looks at them, looks at me, looks back at them, and says, 'They're taller than YOU even!'
